Myon 320 - EMG made easy
The newly released, next generation Myon 320 (upgrading from the previous Myon 310 EMG system) manufactured by Myon-Prophyics, Zurich, Switzerland (www.myon-prophysics.ch) has new and improved features
-
Wireless transmission of EMG signals from up to 32 muscles to one receiver unit with a range of up to 30 metres.
-
Real time - constant, ultra low latency of just 16 ms - impossible to achieve with other WLAN or Bluetooth systems.
-
Continuous measurement up to 10 hours - measure all day and recharge at night
-
Attach and go - everything is plug and play, with no push buttons, adjustments to settings or network configuration required. Simply attach the small and lightweight transmitters to the subject and start measuring immediately.
-
Fast, powerful integrated hardware and software - transmitters support other devices such as accelerometers, foot switches and goniometers. Complete system integrates with 3D motion capture systems, force platforms, foot pressure mats etc.
Details can be seen in the Myon 320 Product Sheet.
Two user-friendly software packages are available to visualise, record, process and export data easily and quickly:
ProEMG with extensive processing options is available in two versions: stand-alone and as a plug in to the Vicon Nexus and Workstation software used to capture and process data acquired with Vicon systems.
Both versions include powerful signal processing algorithms including filters and smoothing, automatic identifcation of muscle onset/off events, automatic calculation of key parameters and export to C3D and ASCII file formats as well as directly to Microsoft Excel and Word. All processing can be done automatically, making the routine processing of EMG data for clinical or research use quick and easy.
ProEMG is the only software solution on the market where advanced EMG processing is fully integrated with 3D motion capture, making it easy to create data files and reports which contain results from both.
ProActive lets you use EMG or signals from other measurement devices to generate real time biofeedback training protocols. ProActive can be used to design programmes to improve and document a subject's coordination, balance or movement response by displaying one or more biofeedback signals in real time, for example for the rehabilitation of stroke patients or the coordination training of athletes.
